Hello there! I’m Emily Eckart, and I’ve been practicing speech therapy in Saskatoon for the last 8 years. I have a unique blend of expertise with both children and adults, and am a proud Canadian Born Chinese who loves connecting with people across all ages.

I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Communication Disorders from Minot State University (2017), and since then, have gained diverse experience in schools, hospitals, and private practice. I have been seeing clients in surrounding Saskatchewan communities, and helping students in the North Battleford Public School Division.

My areas of specialization include preschool and school-aged children who have articulation, phonology, and language disorders. I also have a unique interest in the area of orofacial myofunctional therapy for all ages (i.e., tongue thrusts, tethered oral tissues, negative oral habits, and how this affects eating, breathing, sleeping, speaking, and dentition).

In 2020, I specialized in orofacial myology at the Swallowing, Voice, & Speech Rehab Clinic in Brampton, Ontario, and have been continually deepening my knowledge with ongoing trainings and research in the face, mouth, and airway anatomy and function.
